Saluda Family Medicine offers convenient, quality healthcare right here - in your own back yard. Two practitioners see patients Monday through Thursday.
Dr. Lisa Broyles practices functional medicine. Functional medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach and engaging both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. Family Nurse Practitioner Colden O'Dell offers conventional family medicine with a focus on prevention and wellness. Both providers treat patients from infancy to elderly. Dr. Broyles is in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays, while Colden O'Dell is available Mondays and Wednesdays.
Dr. Broyles is fluent in Spanish, graduated from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and completed her three-year residency in family practice at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. For the past several years, she served patients at urgent care and occupational medicine centers in South Carolina and Tennessee. Prior to this, she was medical director for the East Tennessee Spine and Nerve Center in Chattanooga and the Johnson City Tennessee Downtown Clinic. Along with a professional interest in holistic/integrative medicine, she is a certified functional medical practitioner.
After spending five years as a certified nursing assistant and 15 years as a registered nurse, Colden O'Dell attended Western Carolina University where he received his master's degree of science in nursing with a focus on family nurse practitioner. He currently works at both Foothills Medical Associates in Columbus, North Carolina, and Saluda Family Medicine in Saluda, North Carolina. He practices conventional family medicine.
