Respiratory care is for people with serious breathing challenges.

St. Luke's Hospital's Respiratory Therapy professionals provide invasive and non-invasive treatments for pulmonary disease and distress.

We serve patients of all ages for both inpatient and outpatient needs. We provide respiratory care for the St. Luke's Hospital system including the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Geriatric Psychiatry, Restorative Care and the Medical Surgical unit. The following is a partial list of diseases and illnesses addressed by our Respiratory Therapy team:

Pulmonary Asthma

COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases): Cystic Fibrosis, Bronchitis, Asthma, Bronchiectasis and Emphysema

We can treat these diseases with laboratory and specialized testing including:

Holter Monitor - a 24 and 48-hour recording device that measures heart rhythms
PFT - Pulmonary Function Test to measure the capacities and strength of the lungs
Nebulization Treatments - To treat various airway illnesses and diseases
