Recognize a Nurse Who Made a DifferenceThe DAISY Award recognizes nurses who've provided exceptional clinical skills, compassion, and kindness.
At St. Luke's Hospital, we say "thank you" to an exceptional nurse each year. The DAISY Award is given to a nurse recognized for providing exceptional clinical skill, compassion, and kindness to our patients and their families. Through this award we honor the super-human work our nurses do every day in whatever role they serve.
Each DAISY Award recipient receives "The Healer's Touch" sculpture. According to the DAISY Foundation, "The Healer's Touch" sculpture represents the bond between nurses and their patients. Signed by artists of the Shona Tribe in Zimbabwe, the sculptures are hand-carved from Serpentine mineral rock.
Nurses can be nominated for The DAISY Award by patients, families of patients, peers, physicians, and staff. If you have been the recipient of extraordinary care by a nurse and would like to nominate them, Click here
