Visiting Guidelines

FLU SEASON RESTRICTIONS NOW IN PLACE Learn More

Visitors should plan to stay no more than 20-30 minutes, depending on the patient's condition. We also ask that there be no visitors after 6 p.m. as it is important for patients to rest and sleep to recover and get well.

Visitors should limit themselves to not more than two at a time.

Because patients require various diets, visitors should check with the nurse before bringing in food or beverage items.

In some cases, it may be advisable for a family member to stay around the clock. Please arrange this with the nurse.

It may be important for a family member to be present when the physician makes rounds. Please check with the physician or nurse.

Recliners are available for use by a family member who must stay the night. Please ask a nurse should you need one.

Children under the age of 10 should not visit except in special cases and when arranged with the nurse. Children should not be left unattended at any time.

People with colds, flu or other infections should not visit.

Vending machines are located in the waiting room and in the Registration area.

Family or others waiting for patients who are in surgery should wait in the main waiting room, across from the Nursing Station. Surgeons often visit with the family members after surgery and look for you in the main waiting room, not in the patient's room.

For your health and ours, smoking and tobacco products are not permitted on the St. Luke's Hospital campus.
